The WiNRADiO MS-8128/WSB Sonobuoy Telemetry Multichannel Receiving System provides an elegant, fully integrated solution, specifically designed for reception and monitoring of VHF telemetry transmitters, in particular sonobuoy transmitters, on multiple channels.
This system is based on a 19″ rack-mounted ruggedized industrial computer. The front panel features a high-contrast wide-angle display. There is a provision for connection of an external keyboard and mouse. The system is capable of simultaneous independent monitoring of up to eight channels in the sonobuoy VHF range of 136 to 173.5 MHz. Other frequencies are available upon request. The systems are scaleable and can be built into large simultaneously receiving multiple-channel receiver arrays.
The MS-8128/WSB control software and its intuitive graphical user interface make it possible for the user to control each individual receiver separately and observe its operational status, as well as set the system parameters for multichannel reception and monitoring operations.
An optional antenna distribution system is available which contains a low-noise preamplifier with extremely high linearity, and a power splitter with high isolation between outputs, to provide ideal matching of a single antenna to multiple receivers with minimum loss or signal deterioration.
The MS-8128/WSB Sonobuoy Telemetry Multichannel Receiving System is shipped in a specially designed ruggedized 19″ rack-mounted chassis with built-in shock absorbers, to ensure safe transport.
The unit can then be either removed from the enclosure, or operated from inside it. This is particularly useful for fast-deployment mobile operations. For larger stationary installations, various rack-mount options are available (see an example of a larger multichannel receiver system installation pictured on the right).
